Pastor Dale Munsell

 Pastor, Bridgeport Wesleyan Church

EXPERIENCE:

Pastor Dale has been involved in ministry for most of his life, beginning as a very involved P.K. (preacher’s kid), and then as a layperson doing ministry at Brookhaven Wesleyan Church (in Marion, Indiana).

Over the years, ministry opportunities arose in a music position at South Marion Friends Church and then working with Small Group Ministry at Lakeview Wesleyan Church (also in Marion, Indiana)

Since his ministerial training beginning in 2001, he, along with his wife and two sons have ministered to congregations in Wabash Indiana, Kenner Louisiana, and in their current position at Bridgeport Wesleyan in Bridgeport, Illinois.  

EDUCATION:

July – 2005 - Completed ministerial training through Fellowship of Leaders Acquiring Ministerial Education, (or FLAME for short) through The Wesleyan Church.

July – 2005 - Ordained by the denomination of The Wesleyan Church by the authority given to the Indiana North District of The Wesleyan Church.

HOBBIES:

Keyboard, playing and singing with our Worship Team at BWC, and boating.

BEST ADVICE GIVEN TO PASTOR DALE ABOUT PREACHING:

"Preach the simple Truth!" - Dr. Jim Lo, professor at Indiana Wesleyan University.

"They (your congregation) will listen as long as they know you love them" - Rev. George "Bake" Garman, Pastor of the Morganton Wesleyan Church in Morganton, North Carolina.

BOOKS THAT HAVE HAD AN IMPACT:

"Sharing Jesus Without Fear" by William Fay,  "Follow Me" by Randy Sprinkle and of course, The Holy Bible, written by many inspired authors under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

FAMILY:

Pastor Dale’s wife, Lori has a B.S. in Nursing, has worked as a nursing instructor, in Cardiac Care, Heart and Telemetry Care, and for the past several years has worked in eye care surgery centers, as well as cosmetic surgery. She is a wonderful wife, house maker, and mom to their children and is a great help working along side of her husband in church ministry as well! 

Together, Pastor Dale and Lori have two sons, Corey and Aaron. Corey has recently graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University, majoring in Church Ministries and minoring in Intercultural Studies, and is a gifted musician, playing “Praise and Worship” songs with his guitar. Aaron is now attending Indiana Wesleyan University and is also musically gifted, playing the drums & djembe and loves to play golf, among many other things. They both enjoy playing Paintball as often as they can.
